Fueled by the success of a national book drive last spring, which collected more than 600,000 titles and 85,000 stuffed toys for kids in need, Borders says it is launching a companywide book drive.
This time, the Ann Arbor, Mich.-based retailer says stores have partnered with local and national organizations, including Reach Out and Read Michigan, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Rainbow House in Chicago, Raising a Reader Massachusetts, and Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego.
Store associates will encourage customers to donate popular books for young readers, as well as picture books.
