NBCU Digital Names Derovanessian Exec Producer

Tatiana Derovanessian

NBC Universal has brought on a new executive producer for its studio focusing on producing digital content as an ad platform. Tatiana Derovanessian, who has launched several ventures connecting ad agencies and media companies, joins the NBCU unit that recently broke ground by launching a second season for one of its productions.

Derovanessian ran the multipurpose Cake from 2004-2009 and then debuted Brilliant Brunette Enterprises. Cake clients ranged from Kawasaki to Time Warner to Red Bull.

She will report to NBCU Digital Studio head Cameron Death in her new post. Death, who has led the business since it launched in its current form two years ago, stated that Derovanessian is "a dynamic and creative executive" who can help "expand opportunities with leading brands."

Nichol Degruccio previously held the position.

In a field where few digital-only series seem to break out, NBCU recently launched a second season of a branded-entertainment vehicle for American Family Insurance), where an actor plays one of its agents as sort of a small-town maypole. AFI tries to advance the message that, well, like a good neighbor, AFI is there.

The NBCU studio has worked with media operations at Omnicom and WPP, among others.
