Mercedes-Benz Launches Mbrace 2.0

  • September 2, 2010
Mercedes-Benz USA says it has introduced an upgraded version of its Mbrace telematics platform that connects the in-car navigation system in its vehicles with drivers' iPhones.

The Montvale, N.J., automaker says that in addition to the current Mbrace features that let owners unlock their vehicles, locate their vehicles in crowded parking lots, and find nearby or preferred dealers among other services, Version 2.0 also allows customers to seamlessly access Mercedes-Benz Concierge services while away from the vehicle.

The concierge can send things like entertainment recommendations, restaurant locations, directions, and traffic updates to owners, per the company. The new application also lets users access more than one account from the device.
