Chevrolet Puts A Camaro In The Fireball Run

  • September 20, 2010
Chevrolet is putting its Camaro in the 2010 Fireball Run, a transcontinental adventure rally race. The race, which starts Sept. 23, has teams competing for points in driving challenges across the country while helping to locate missing and abducted children.

The Camaro will run under the banner of "Team High Gear Media" on the nine-day, 3,500-mile race. High Gear Media will post articles and real-time social media content during the race at their properties, TheCarConnection.com, MotorAuthority.com and SocialCarNews.com. The team will race from Henderson, Nev. to Galena, Ill., arriving at the latter on Oct. 2.

Each Fireball Run team represents a missing child identified by the Race to Recover America's Missing Children, a campaign for the Klaas Kids Foundation. During the eight-day adventure and competition, teams will distribute 1,000 posters along the entire 3,500 mile route of the rally, which journeys through 18 cities and nine states. High Gear Media's team, sponsored by Chevrolet, will race for Jade Flores, a 4-year-old girl who has been missing since July 2008.
