Said Bob Stohrer, veep marketing at Boost, in a statement: "We're creating a truly integrated partnership with presence both on-air and in the arena; this is more than just signage on the court."
Elements include "Boost Mobile Celebrity Row" at the Knicks home opener Saturday at the Garden. Boost will sponsor front-row interviews with celebrity fans hosted by Knicks reporter Jill Martin. The interviews will run in-arena on Gardenvision, the center-hung scoreboard, and on MSG Network. Boost Mobile will do a promotion dangling a seat on "Boost Mobile Celebrity Row" and perks. There will also be a Boost Mobile Knicks Groove Truck, and Boost will be involved in Knicks community programs and events in the tri-state area.
A grassroots vector to the program has Knicks players, past and present making in-store appearances on behalf of Boost at wireless retail outlets in New York City. Boost will also be involved in "March to the Garden" 3-on-3-basketball tournament, "Knicks Poetry Slam" and the team's annual charity event "Knicks Bowl." Online Boost will be at NYKnicks.com.
