Pepsi Signs As Legoland Florida Sponsor

  • December 10, 2010
Pepsi Beverages Company, PepsiCo's U.S. manufacturing, sales and distribution unit, has signed a multi-year agreement making PBC the official beverage provider for Legoland Florida, an interactive family theme park to open in Polk County, Fla. in October 2011.

The 150-acre theme park will exclusively offer Pepsi-brand beverages, including Pepsi varieties, Tropicana and Dole juices, Aquafina water, Gatorade, Mountain Dew and Sierra Mist. PBC will also provide "significant marketing funds" to help promote the park in several region-wide promotion campaigns.

Florida will be the fifth park in the Legoland chain, which now has locations in Carlsbad Calif., Billund Denmark, Gunzburg, Germany and Windsor in the U.K.  The chain is owned by Merlin Entertainments Group, which also owns Sea Life and other theme parks, with 62 parks and six hotels spanning 12 countries.
