Get ready for Sims controllers, cases and other items. Electronic Arts has completed a licensing agreement with accessory maker Mad Catz to create a line of branded PC and consolve video game
accessories based on the popular The Sims franchise.
"We are excited to work with EA and one of the most popular gaming franchises of all time. The Sims is a new and exciting opportunity for
Mad Catz to reach a wider audience that includes both casual and enthusiast gamers," said Darren Richardson, president and CEO of Mad Catz, in a statement. "Our agreement with EA is part of our
long-term strategy of working with the premium gaming brands and deliver innovative consumer focused accessories."
The company will produce a wide range of videogame accessories for PCs, the
Xbox 360, Sony PlayStation, Wii and Nintendo handheld systems.
