Walgreens says it will sponsor American Red Cross life saving training at more than 100 stores around the country this weekend, in an event called the "Gabrielle Giffords Honorary Save-a-Life
Saturday."
The Arizona Congressman was shot in January in a Tucson shopping plaza that contained a Walgreens. "Some of our health care professionals saw firsthand that day the value of knowing
CPR," the Deerfield, Ill.-based drug chain says in its release. "Every person who is CPR-trained is a potential life-saver 365 days a year. This is invaluable and important training that we're proud
to help provide in partnership with the American Red Cross and in honor of Rep. Giffords as she continues her recovery."
