A year after opening its first U.S. office in Seattle, London-based SEO agency Distilled said it would expand to New York in June. Tom Critchlow, currently the company's head of search marketing, will move to the Big Apple as vice president of operations.

The 6-year-old Distilled currently has two New York clients, Shutterstock and Etsy.com, and Critchlow told Online Media Daily that two more have just been signed. He is looking for four or five full-time SEO consultants and client sales execs to help him staff the new facility, which he said will be eventually be able to house 10 employees.

The company originally planned for only three or four people in its Seattle office, but it has already grown from one employee to eight, Critchlow said, with another about to be hired.

Earlier this year, that office took over responsibilities for Seattle-based SEOmoz's consulting practice. It is now responsible for one-third of Distilled' total revenues, which have doubled during the past year. Revenues are now forecast to top $5 million in 2011.

Other Distilled clients include Microsoft, RealNetworks and Scribd.com. In addition to SEO, Distilled also handles PPC campaigns and Web sites built in London for its U.S. clients.
