The Florida Lottery is adding a Monopoly-themed component with the state's official tourism marketing corporation, Visit Florida. The effort touts the state's four-star resorts and dangles 12 Florida
vacation getaway packages to the Oaseas Resort in Panama City Beach, Hawk's Cay Island Resort on Duck Key, Reunion Resort and Club in Orlando, and Hammock Beach Resort in Palm Coast.
The
Florida Lottery's campaign for the new game will promote "Share a Little Sunshine," Visit Florida's statewide grassroots effort aimed at getting Floridians to invite friends and family to visit the
state. As part of the cross-promotion, Visit Florida will tout the Monopoly game on ShareALittleSunshine.org.
Tourism brought 82.3 million visitors to Florida in 2010 who spent more
than $60 billion, making tourism the biggest revenue engine for Florida.
