Barefoot Wine is partnering with Championship Volleyball (CV) for the 2011 summer season.

The Modesto, Calif.-based winery will present the Barefoot Wine/CV ProAm Series, a tournament dedicated to finding the next rising stars of beach volleyball. Olympic Gold Medalists Kerri Walsh and Todd Rogers will compete against the champion teams in an exhibition match.

From the beaches of Honolulu to the Jersey Shore, the series will pit 48 of the best amateur volleyball players from across the U.S. against one another in 12 regional competitions. Winning teams from each local market will compete in the Barefoot Wine/CV ProAm Cup in Miami, where the champions will the chance to face off against Walsh and Rogers.

The schedule, which runs through early September, also includes stops in Chicago, Boston, Milwaukee, Long Island, Houston, Denver, Phoenix and Dallas. Barefoot Wine has been a supporter of the sport for more than five years, formerly partnering with the AVP.--Tanya Irwin
