Report: Google Weighing Yahoo Takeover Bid

Google is in early talks with private equity firms about making a bid to acquire Yahoo, The Wall Street Journal reported Saturday. The reported also noted that Microsoft is in discussion with private equity firms about increasing its stake in Yahoo, which ousted CEO Carol Bartz in September and has essentially put itself on the block.
