Brandery 'Graduates' Eight Promising Digital Start-ups

The Brandery, a Cincinnati-based non-profit that helps promising digital media and marketing start-ups accelerate their ventures into the marketplace, this morning announced that it has “graduated” eight companies, and will introduce them during a day-long presentation Tuesday to more than 300 investors and interested parties. The eight start-ups (bulleted below), which joined The Brandery on Aug. 1, will present at Demo Day at the Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati. The eight graduates:

  • Choremonster (http://www.choremonster.org/) is a suite of web and mobile applications that allow parents and kids to actually enjoy doing their daily chores. Each child can gain points by completing a chore, which they can save up for real life rewards, such as an Xbox, iPad or even a canoe trip. Not only can they obtain real life rewards, but as chores are completed the child will be able to collect and trade over 250 different monsters.
  • Keepio (http://www.keepio.com) invites collectors and enthusiasts to buy or sell items they want or own among other trusted friends. Collectors and enthusiasts useKeepio to keep track of their goods and interests, and then buy, sell or share their belongings within public or private groups. Keepio also offers a plug-in product for existing forums and communities focused on discussion of products, collectibles, and memorabilia.
  • Leap (http://leapfor.it/) is the fun, visual mobile app that empowers you to get healthier with friends and family through photo-based group challenges. Create meaningful health journeys and compete with the people you know and trust by taking pictures of healthy meals and activities along the way. With Leap getting healthy is as easy as snapping a photo.
  • Receept (http://receept.com/) is a platform for tracking personal purchase history via delivery and aggregation of purchase receipts. We are helping consumers save and organize their own purchase history and enabling merchants and brands to gain a greater understanding of who their loyal customers are both within and beyond their store or product.
  • RentShare (https://rentshare.com/) empowers renters to easily pay rent online and share household expenses with roommates.
