CouponNetwork Pairs Coupons With Video

With digital coupons growing in popularity, marketers are looking for ways to boost their profile even further using online media. One digital printable coupon platform, CouponNetwork.com, is launching a new video side-channel, Video Rewards, which allows companies to engage customers with informational videos, and reward them for their engagement.

Visitors to CouponNetwork.com access the videos by clicking on a “Coupon Details” tab. After watching a short video about the brand or product, they automatically receive a higher-value digital coupon.

CouponNetwork.com also rewards shoppers who buy featured products with YourBucks dollar-off coupons, which can be used to buy other products on the site at participating retailers.

The CouponNetwork.com digital coupon platform is powered by Catalina Marketing Corporation, which aggregates coupon offers from multiple retailers, health care and CPG companies.

The company has partnerships with over 50,000 food, drug and mass retail locations worldwide, including 18,000 U.S. pharmacies.

Amid continuing economic woes, digital coupons have been adopted by a growing number of American consumers, with the number of online U.S. consumers who use digital coupons set to grow from 88.2 million in 2011 to 92.5 million in 2012 and 96.8 million in 2013, according to Nielsen Homescan.

Total coupon savings redeemed by U.S. consumers came to $3.7 billion in 2010. Also according to Nielsen, 52% of online coupon users spend 15 minutes or more per week searching for coupons, and 25% spend 30 to 60 minutes per week.
