Starbucks Expands Outlets Offering Beer, Wine

  • January 23, 2012

Starbucks plans to begin selling beer and wine in a small number of its cafes in Atlanta and Southern California by the end of 2012, reports Reuters.

The chain plans to add the alcoholic beverages and foods such as savory snacks, cheese plates and hot flatbreads to menus in four to six outlets in each market, seeking to draw in those in need of afternoon pick-me-ups.

The alcoholic beverages and menu options currently are offered in five Starbucks locations in Seattle and one in Portland, Ore.--Karlene Lukovitz
