Apple Sells 37M iPhones, 15M iPads In Q4

Apple said Tuesday it sold 37 million iPhones during the last three months of 2011, powering its way to another blowout quarter. The tech giant reported net income of $13.06, or earnings per share of $13.87, on revenue of $46.3 billion in revenue during its fiscal first quarter, easily beating the average analyst estimate of $38.9 billion in sales. 

In addition to selling a record number of iPhones, Apple sold 15.4 million iPads, 5.2 million Mac computer and 15.4 million iPods. The iPhone and iPad numbers were well beyond Wall Street forecasts. Looking ahead, Apple said it expects revenue of about $32.5 billion and diluted earnings per share of about $8.50 in the first three months of 2012. Read more here.
