Chris Gonzalez, who heads mobile operations at Gilt Groupe, said the company is garnering 25% of revenue from mobile platforms, and about half of that is generated via tablets. Mobile sales also spike on nights and weekends.

Gilt, which posts sales daily at noon, has been in the mobile commerce space for two and a half years.

The company has found that it gets a higher conversion rate from its tablet application, Gonzalez said at the OMMA's Tablet Revolution event.
