TrueCar, Inc., Santa Monica, Calif.-based auto research, pricing and shopping site has tapped a dealer guy to oversee all relationships with dealer associations at the national, state and metro level.

Pat Watson previously served as executive vice president and chief executive officer of the South Carolina Automobile Dealers Association (“SCADA”) in Columbia, SC.  In his 39 years with the SCADA, Watson served the Association as the Director of Field Services and Government Liaison before becoming CEO in 1976. Prior to joining the SCADA, he served as an associate football coach at the University of South Carolina. Watson is now VP of industry relations for TrueCar.
