MasterCard's Donnelly To Digital Vendor Pitches: Carpe Diem

That’s right, MasterCard global digital marketing chief Mike Donnelly says, if you’re a digital media vendor, “Seize the day.” In other words, pitch away.


Warming up the post-morning coffee break crowd at the ANA’s Digital and Social Media Conference, Donnelly said he’s been intrigued with how “respectful” some of the vendors in attendance, even those who have paid a lot of money to sponsor things at the conference, are about approaching marketers about their business.

“Don’t be bashful,” Donnelly encouraged, “Seize the opportunity.”

The reason, he said, is that the marketers at the show can learn more in “two days than in four to six months back in our offices.”

“If you’re here,” he said, “sell something. Seize the day.”
