Sea World Launches Mobile Game

  • December 3, 2012

SeaWorld has launched its first mobile game available for the iPhone and iPad.

TurtleTrek, which is offered for free through the App Store, requires players to guide a sea turtle across the beach into the water to find friends, conquering challenges both dangerous and light-hearted. Throughout the game, the sea turtle gets help from Shamu the killer whale and Nyah the green sea turtle.

The game is intended to entertain as well as educate, offering information and facts about sea animals. "SeaWorld has a 50-year history of creating entertainment experiences that inspire people to connect with animals, and this type of entertainment is a natural extension for our company," said Scott Helmstedter, Chief Creative Officer of SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment, in a statement. "It is engaging and fun, but also instills a greater understanding of some of the ocean's amazing animals."
