Chicago-based Nonni's Foods LLC has acquired Glendale, Ariz.-based Villa Veneto Corp., parent of La Dolce Vita products.

Nonni's Foods is the leading baker of premium biscotti and almond thins in North America, according to the company.

La Dolce Vita's line of artisan biscotti and other specialty cookies are sold in club-store and grocery channels. 

“La Dolce Vita is a strong strategic fit with Nonni’s, supports our growing biscotti business, expands our baking capabilities and positions Nonni’s, THINaddictives and La Dolce Vita to accelerate growth within premium cookies” said Dave Bere, CEO of Nonni’s Foods.
