AMC -- home of "The Walking Dead" and
"Mad Men" -- is taking on a new brand tagline, "AMC: Something More."
The cable network's previous network tagline, "Story Matters Here," started in 2009.
The network's new brand theme
will be accompanied by a new on-air look and logo. It began on Sunday, during the Season Three finale of the highly rated series “The Walking Dead.”
“AMC: Something
More” further refines our focus on- and off-air and speaks to our promise to viewers to provide an experience that is unexpected, unconventional and uncompromising,” stated Linda Schupack,
executive vice president of marketing for AMC. “However we express the brand, we want to give our audience something deeper, something richer, something more.”
The new brand
campaign is also timed for the network's new slate of programming. This week is the debut of the sixth season of "Mad Men," which begins April 7. After that, on Sunday, June 2, more summer programming
will debut -- the season premiere of the third season of “The Killing," as well as new series “Low Winter Sun,” “Hell on Wheels” and the final eight episodes of
“Breaking Bad."
AMC: Something More was developed with brand and creative agency Troika.
