Longtime NBC advertising sales executive Steve Agase is now Viacom's senior West Coast ad executive.
Agase will have the title of senior vice
president of music and entertainment ad sales, West Coast, overseeing Viacom networks including CMT, Comedy Central, MTV, Logo, Spike TV, TV Land, and VH1.
He will report to Jeff Lucas,
head of sales for music and entertainment for Viacom Networks, running the business out of the company's Santa Monica, Calif. office.
Agase will be responsible for Viacom's West Coast
agencies and advertisers, including clients in the motion picture industry.
Agase had a 30-year career at NBCUniversal, most recently as senior vice president of West Coast sales, selling
three broadcast and two cable news units. Before the 2010 merger with Comcast, Agase was responsible for sales for all of NBCU's Cable Entertainment, including USA Network, Bravo, Syfy, Chiller and
Cloo.
Lucas stated that Agase was a "proven sales leader with an intuitive understanding of how to create customized marketing solutions across a broad media portfolio and get real results
for clients." Previously, Lucas worked at NBC in an senior advertising position.
