Mobile Local Search Quadrupled In 2012

Traffic to online directories and other local resources from mobile devices more than quadrupled in 2012, reaching 27% share of total Web traffic in December 2012, up from 6% share in December 2011, according to a report from the Local Search Association. The report, prepared by comScore, suggests 53% of app users are age 25 to 44, and 51% are more likely to have an income greater than $100,000 versus all mobile phone users.
