IDG Enterprise Private Exchange Enters Beta

The initial version of this article said that the 550 sites on the TechNetwork saw 8 million unique visitors. However, the 8 million visitors are a part of a second IDG property. The article has been updated to reflect this.

IDG Enterprise today announced the launch of the IDG Enterprise Exchange (IDGEx), a private ad exchange. IDG Enterprise is a media company comprised of Computerworld, InfoWorld, Network World, and others.

According to the release, the exchange launched in beta today and is meant to target "IT decision-makers" by using real-time bidding (RTB). "Programmatic buying continues to gain traction," Michael Friedenberg, president and CEO of IDG Enterprise stated. "Digital continues to be a primary growth area for IDG Enterprise, building a private ad exchange is a natural next step in helping our clients reach their prospects."

IDG claims their TechNetwork has 550 sites and IDG Enterprise's 8 million unique visitors. Marketers using the private ad exchange can use first party data as well as third party data from the other sites on IDG's TechNetwork.
