Publicis' VivaKi today announced the launch of a new "Activation Center" for their trading desk, Audience on Demand (AOD). The activation center will be located in Singapore and will serve as a hub for AOD's expansion across the Asia-Pacific region. Grace Liau has been appointed Regional General Manager and will lead the operations.
VivaKi recently launched an AOD activation center in Amsterdam as a hub for Europe, and the company wrote that a third activation center is being planned for China.
Liau comes from Singapore and has spent the past 20 years in Boston. She was part of the original VivaKi team that launched AOD in 2008. She will lead the Singapore operations starting in October and will report to Kurt Unkel, president, products and solutions, VivaKi.
The AOD platform allows for advertising buys on display, video, social, and mobile devices. The company claimed in the release that the beta testing of AOD across Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia was "highly successful." Jeffrey Seah, VivaKi's country chair in South East Asia, stated that bringing the trading desk to the APAC region will provide clients with what they need in what he called a "technology-infused industry."
Stephen Tompkins will be joining Liau in Singapore as AOD Director.
