Virgin Atlantic Launches Promo With NFL

Virgin Atlantic is teaming with football analyst Adam Schefter to search for a “Red Hot Reporter” for the upcoming NFL International  Series game in London.

The selected person will interview players, go behind the scenes with sideline access and showcase the fan experience from the Virgin Atlantic suite.

They will fly in style to cover the game, between the San Francisco 49ers and Jacksonville Jaguars, at Wembley Stadium on Oct. 27.  

Schefter has created a Click video inviting consumers to enter. Videos can be submitted until Oct. 11. 

This year marks the fifth season that Virgin Atlantic Airways will serve as the official partner for the NFL International Series game



“We’re looking for someone who can capture the essence of the NFL International Series and present it back to the U.S. audience,” said Chris Rossi, Virgin Atlantic’s senior vice president, North America, in a release. “We’ll be handing over our social media channels to the Red Hot Reporter for the weekend to ensure that fans can be kept up to date on all the action both on and off the field.”

Virgin has created a dedicated Web site for the promotion.

Applicants must first follow @Virgin Atlantic on Twitter. They will then create a video on the platform of their choice and tweet the video to @Virgin_Atlantic with the hashtag #RedHotReporter.

Video submissions are open to legal U.S. residents at least 21 years of age or older. The Red Hot Reporter will be selected by Adam Schefter and announced on Oct. 14. 

Ahead of the big game, each team will fly on specially chartered flights to London with Virgin Atlantic enjoy customized menus tailored to fit the players’ diets, and the latest in-flight entertainment, including personal screens which feature media libraries with more than 300 hours of on-demand audio and video.
