More than a third (35%) of Americans 16 older now own a tablet, up from 25% last year, according to new data from the Pew Internet & American Life Project. Almost a quarter have an e-reading device, up from 19%. And 43% own either a table or e-book reader, compared to 33% a year ago.

The latest findings are based a survey by the Pew Research Center’s Internet Project which was conducted from July 18 to September 20, 1013 among 6,224 Americans ages 16 and older. The margin of error is plus or minus 1.4 percentage points.
