Tribune Company has named
Richard Cusick as general manager of Tribune Media Services.
Cusick will be responsible for strategic planning, operations management and sales and marketing, reporting to
Shashi Seth, president/Tribune Digital Ventures.
Previously, he was president/entertainment and Women's Lifestyles at Yahoo, where he oversaw
more than $100 million in revenue. Prior to Yahoo, he was founder and GM of Swirl.
Seth stated that Cusik's vision and strategic approach
will enable TMS to find new ways to maximize the value of TV data, "in step with the changing landscape of television and entertainment."
At Yahoo, Cusick overhauled the
search giant's Entertainment and Lifestyles verticals, hiring a new management team. He handled the launch of OMGinsider, a Web and TV collaboration between Yahoo and CBS.
