Vevo, the big music video Website, is the latest online video service to be added to Google's Chromecast device. That brings six online products available on the $35 dongle: The others are Netflix,
YouTube, HBO Go, Hulu and Pandora.
Chromecast plugs into HDTV sets and allows a user to choose and send videos from a smartphone, tablet or laptop to the TV set.
Google has never said how
many Chromecast fobs were sold since its introduction in late July, but those sold out nearly instantly. Gigaom.com reported earlier
that the device was the best selling electronics
devices on Amazon for much of the fourth quarter; in late November it slipped to number two behind Amazon's Kindle devices.
