BIZ DEV: Deveney Communication Wins Prospect New Orleans Account

Prospect New Orleans hired New Orleans-based strategic marketing firm Deveney Communication as agency of record for Prospect.3, the third edition of the New Orleans International Contemporary Art Biennial that's set to open this fall. The account was won following a review. Franklin Sirmans has been selected to curate Prospect.3. Among the themes Sirmans plans to explore are topics that have ties to the contemporary art scene in New Orleans. Additionally, Sirmans plans to invite artists who incorporate film and video prominently in their work to participate in Prospect.3. “We are so excited that Deveney Communication will serve as both our boots on the ground in New Orleans and our voice in the international art press. From working one-on-one with visiting media, to utilizing their knowledge of the local market to shape stories, we are confidant their capabilities coupled with our staff will help us reach our aggressive goals for Prospect.3 and beyond,” said Brooke Davis Anderson, Executive Director of Prospect New Orleans. The agency will leverage local, regional, national and international media relationships to promote New Orleans as a top leisure travel destination for contemporary art admirers.
