Google, Bing and Yahoo have announced a new scheme.org markup language and structured data for the
Web, introducing a vocabulary that allows sites to describe the actions they enable
and how these actions are invoked. The latest technology includes an improved vocabulary to help webmasters highlight items such as locations, objects, participants and start times.
It translates what a human would infer from reading a block of text or seeing other types of content, and highlights it for search engines. The post points to supporting documents.
