AdRoll has raised $70 million in a Series C investment round, with plans to focus on retargeting and to become "central to the process of buying online display ads as Google's AdWords is for
search ads," per TechCrunch. The company has been working with travel search engines on a mobile implementation allowing brands to target browsers after consumers leave a Web site. Those visits can
trigger specific ads on different devices.
