Flurry Launches New SDK For Mobile Video Ads

App advertising and analytics provider Flurry on Monday announced a new SDK to help mobile app publishers serve video ads.

The new SDK enables publishers to pre-cache video in an effort to deliver higher-quality playback. Publishers will be able to use the video SDK via Flurry’s ad network or the Flurry Marketplace, which uses real-time bidding (RTB).

Flurry claims that Pocket Gems, a mobile game publisher, saw a five times lift in Flurry-generated revenue when beta testing the new video SDK.

“Video has become the most effective mobile ad format for both advertisers and publishers,” stated Prashant Fuloria, chief product officer at Flurry.

Per a release, the new video SDK is immediately available to iOS app publishers who integrate Flurry’s standard SDK. Android support is expected soon.
