Forbes on Monday posted a Q&A with Mike Baker, CEO of DataXu.
“Ad tech as we knew it is dead. When we left the lab in 2009 [when DataXu started], we thought maybe 20% of the market would eventually trade on a real-time basis,” Baker says. “EMarketer says programmatic will hit 50% by 2017. I have no doubt it will become 100% of the advertising market.”
He adds: “The burning question on my mind is this: how and when will the industry go 100% programmatic?”
