NBCU Taps Juliano as SVP, Consumer Product Strategy

Looking to push more TV Everywhere usage and business, NBCUniversal continues to hire more senior executives.

Following the recent hire of Alison Moore, who became executive vice president and general manager of TV Everywhere, NBCU has now appointed Dina Juliano, as senior vice president of consumer product strategy. Juliano reports to Moore.

Both Moore and Juliano had previously worked at HBO and HBO GO, the network’s digital app platform. Moore reports to Matt Bond, executive vice president of content distribution for NBCUniversal.

Juliano will be responsible for NBCUniversal's TV Everywhere (TVE) growth across authenticated digital channels, including Web, mobile and connected devices, as well as developing new TVE experiences.

Other executives on the TV Everywhere unit at NBCUniversal: Doug Rosen, vice president of TVE Partnerships and Alexa Wilson, vp of consumer marketing.

Rosen held positions with DirecTV and HBO; previously, Wilson held consumer-marketing posts at publishers Hearst and Rodale.

One recent research study points to low awareness and discovery of consumer when it comes to TV Everywhere apps/platforms. A recent Viacom study said 17% of users discover TV Everywhere from a TV commercial, while 16% are made aware by a spouse or partner, and 54% of kids learn about it from their parents.
