Budweiser Teams With National Parks, 13th Witness For Promotion

Budweiser has announced its commitment to the environment through a partnership with the National Park Foundation.

The beer maker joins other sponsors of the Find Your Park initiative, including American Express, Subaru, REI, Humana and Disney.

The multimillion-dollar partnership raises awareness about national parks and the centennial milestone of the National Park Service in 2016.

As part of the sponsorship, Budweiser is rolling out limited-edition patriotic packaging featuring the iconic image of the Statue of Liberty.

Budweiser commissioned city streetscape and mobile photographer 13th Witness to unveil the packaging on Instagram on Earth Day, April 22. The image had already generated more than 11,000 “likes” in less than 24 hours after its creation.

The Lady Liberty packs will be available in 8-, 12-, 16- and 25-ounce cans and in a 16-ounce aluminum bottle.

Budweiser also is sponsoring a summer music program in the national parks this summer. To kick off the partnership, Budweiser launched a day of service in various parks throughout New York City on April 21.

The goal of the partnership is to encourage a new generation of beer drinkers to “get out there and see what America is made of," says Brian Perkins, vice president, Budweiser, in a release. "We are looking to draw attention to these parks with our eye-catching packaging, as well as a pretty epic surprise concert this summer."
