Industry executive Susan Cantor is joining Red Peak Branding as President. In this newly created position, Cantor will be tasked with helping the 30-staff firm grow and retain new business.
Cantor will be based in New York City and report to James Fox, CEO, Red Peak Branding.
A well-known executive on Madison Avenue, Cantor got her career start at Griffin Bacal, then moved to Ammirati Puris. In 2004, she was named President of Interpublic’s Lowe New York and one year later became the agency’s CEO in charge of more than 400 employees and clients including GMC, Unilever, Johnson & Johnson and Perdue. In 2006, she left Lowe to join strategic innovation firm Thinktopia, where, as partner and COO, she was responsible for overall strategic development and client management. Most recently, Cantor has been running her own brand strategy firm, ClearBlueSky.
“Having worked with international as well as national brands, from L’Oreal Paris to General Motors GMC, and led agency teams of all sizes, Susan brings a unique combination of client management experience and a deep understanding of and empathy for what clients need in a marketing partner,” said Fox. “She has big-agency operational skills plus a decade of entrepreneurial know-how,” added Fox. “Our agency is at a pivotal point in our growth, and Susan’s diverse skill set gives her a unique perspective on how best to lead an agency team into the future, maintain our focus and drive growth.”

Founded in 2010, Red Peak Branding, part of Red Peak Group, became a founding member of the kyu collective, a division of Hakuhodo DY Holdings in May 2014. The portfolio includes SYPartners and of as last week, Digital Kitchen.
