It’s a brave and wonderful new world out there. Sure, Europe is falling apart and China’s stock market is circling the drain -- but on the other hand, now our friends can watch us play Candy Crush Saga via live-streaming.

That’s right, this earth-shaking new feature comes courtesy of Sony and Twitch, which have partnered to create Live Screen Streaming, a new Android app that lets mobile users broadcast what’s on their screen to other mobile users. The capability is currently available on Sony devices including the Xperia Z3+, Xperia Z4, Xperia Z4v, and the Xperia Z4 Tablet. The app is available for download at the Google Play Store.

Beyond just live-streaming your casual gaming victories, you can revel in the growth of your broadcast empire, thanks to a screen overlay showing the number of people who are watching and commenting on the stream. Another feature allows you to record screen activity for later (not live) broadcast.

But it’s not all good news on the mobile casual gaming front. Mobile games are also becoming a vector for hacking, accord to a new report from Palo Alto Networks. The research outfit found that hackers have hidden malware in the Nintendo Entertainment System emulator, an app not associated with Nintendo that allows you to play vintage Nintendo games on your phone.

Palo Alto identified the malware as Gunpoder (hackers seem to enjoy misspelling words), which uses a fake pop-up asking for agreement to terms and conditions, in combination with another pop-up offering subscriptions, to gain access to PayPal accounts and collect personal information for further malicious email or text message attacks.
