R/GA's Andrea Ring is jumping to digital agency Big Spaceship at its first-ever Chief Strategy Officer. Ring will be responsible for leading Big Spaceship’s strategy discipline and bring
her expertise to its business development effort.
“As brands continue to look for partners that can help them navigate the ever-changing digital landscape, we’ve increasingly
heard that there’s a need for a strong, digitally-native, lead agency – bringing on Andrea is our response to that,” said Michael Lebowitz, Founder/CEO, Big Spaceship. “Her
addition to the leadership team is pivotal as we look to expand our capabilities and strengthen our commitment to our clients.”
In her 10 years at RG/A, most recently as SVP of
Planning/Experience, she helped to build a team of 40 planners to assist brands such as Nike, Google, and Samsung on the most effective ways to rethink their businesses and develop closer ties with
the right consumers.
Previously, Ring worked as a brand planner with Bigchalk.com, J. Walter Thompson and Digital Pulp Advertising. Earlier she was president and co-founder of Kush yoga
mats; a TV writer, and a research associate for the New York City Mayor’s Office.
Ring starts at the Brooklyn-based agency on Monday, July 20th and will report directly
to Lebowitz.
