People StyleWatchis getting a new look and editorial approach, including interactive content in its print edition, courtesy of an integration with Blippar. The makeover should help the magazine
keep pace with the fast-changing trends of millennial style.
The revamp debuts with the magazine’s September issue and features a greater focus on online style influencers, street style
trends and global style, reflecting millennials’ broader view of personal style.
In keeping with this new approach, the magazine includes more photos of style trends from around the
world, as well as fashion and beauty tips from bloggers, video bloggers and stylists.
As part of its “body positive” mission, StyleWatch will also include models and
clothing displaying a greater range of sizes; a complementary feature, encouraging readers to post photos of themselves with the hashtage #LoveYourShape, has already attracted over 3,000 posts.

On the interactive front, readers who download the Blippar app can use their mobile devices to scan “Blippable” pages in the magazine to unlock additional digital content. All
merchandise featured in the magazine can be shopped, and all the advertising is interactive, including the ability to purchase directly from advertisers’ sites.
The September
issue’s interactive content also includes a collaboration with PledgeMusic that pairs stories with songs from indie artists that complement the feel of the page; a service to get style advice
from the magazine’s experts; a feature inviting readers to put their selfies on the cover of StyleWatch and share them with friends; and a feedback channel that allows readers to email
questions and ideas to the editor.
