Oscar Mayer has created a dating app, dubbed Sizzl, to help Americans "find their bacon soul mates."
Once downloaded, the app takes users to a questionnaire, to specify their bacon preferences (e.g., thick cut and flexible, or center cut and crispy), upload photos and create a profile.
Then they can check out matched profiles of local fellow bacon lovers, message them and perhaps meet up with them. Users can indicate their level of attraction by how long they hold down a "sizzle" button.
"In love, as it is in bacon, it's important to be discerning when selecting your perfect match and to never settle for less than the best," said Eric Dahmer, marketing director at Oscar Mayer.
The app is being promoted on Oscar Mayer's Facebook and Twitter channels with a humorous video showing a young woman considering a series of prospective dates who appear on her couch, including a cute one who's a true bacon soul mate.
