
Visit KC, Kansas City's tourism bureau, is naming travel marketing agency MMGY
Global as its marketing agency of record following a formal review.
Visit KC has an annual operating budget of $10.4 million.
MMGY will develop marketing initiatives to
encourage travelers to visit the region and elevate "the brand perception of Kansas City in both regional and expanded fly markets," the agency stated.
First up, the agency will
introduce campaigns for the meetings and convention planning cycle and the spring tourism season. A campaign preview will be featured at Elevate KC, Visit KC’s annual meeting, March
23, at the Kansas City Convention Center.
The agency has done prior work for the client--it designed and launched VisitKC.com in fall 2014.

The account is also on the agency’s home turf. MMGY Global was founded in Kansas City, MO, and has maintained its headquarters in
the city since 1981.
