IBM announced Thursday that it has acquired Bluewolf Group, a cloud consulting firm, in the company's tenth cloud-based acquisition since 2015.
The deal is expected to close by
the end of the second quarter of 2016. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Bluewolf will join IBM Interactive Experience (iX), IBM's digital agency and consultancy arm, which supports
companies such as Nationwide, Qantas, Jaguar, and Wimbledon.
The acquisition adds consulting services to IBM iX’s Global Business Services team, including an expertise in
integrating with Salesforce’s ecosystem, a longstanding partner.
“There is no question that the consumer-grade experience has emerged as a fundamental element in modern business
strategy,” states Bridget van Kralingen, senior vice president, IBM Global Business Services. "Meeting that expectation defines next-generation differentiation and competitive position, and with
Bluewolf, we add expertise to scale that capability to the cloud-based capabilities of Salesforce."
Bluewolf became Salesforce’s first consulting services partner in 2001, and today
continues to occupy a unique position within the Salesforce consulting ecosystem as one of its most strategic and successful pure-play partners, Eric Berridge, Bluewolf CEO, said in a prepared
statement.
