The Trade Desk, Inc. on Monday appointed Mark Kirschner chief marketing officer (CMO). Kirschner, most recently CMO for eBay Enterprise, will lead The Trade Desk's global marketing strategy.
The appointment comes just days after the ad-tech firm filed its S-1 indicating its plans to become a public company.
At eBay Enterprise, Kirschner generated leads, built the analyst and media relations strategy, and rolled out new brand architecture.
Prior to eBay Enterprise, the marketing vet spent eight years as CMO at Rakuten and one of its subsidiaries, leading the global marketing team. Previously, he held marketing leadership roles at companies including Scholastic Internet Group, MTV, Paramount Interactive, and NEC Technologies.
