OMG's Hearts & Science Expansion Plan

In the wake of the agency’s massive AT&T media pitch victory, Omnicom Media Group’s Hearts & Science has opened two additional offices including Dallas (where the telecom giant is headquartered) and Atlanta.

People familiar with the expansion plan report that the staff gear-up is ongoing at both new offices. Some 100 H&S staffers will be based in Dallas and another 50 will be housed at the Atlanta operation.

For now those two new offices will focus solely on AT&T although further expansion is expected at both as the agency adds clients in the future.

That brings the total number of H&S offices in North America to five, the others being its New York headquarters, Toronto and San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Sources say a sixth facility—in Mexico City—will be opening soon.

Omnicom Media Group—home to both OMD and PHD--took the wraps off of its third media agency network in April. Plans for the new shop had been in the works since the firm won the bulk of Procter & Gamble’s estimated $2.6 billion North America media assignment back in December.

H&S has been positioned as OMG’s “data-driven” media agency. When it opened in April CEO Scott Hagedorn, who is credited with setting the vision of the new shop, described it as being at “the nexus between marketing science and consumer connections.”
