Apparently, Google's move to build out products based on artificial intelligence has put handset makers on edge. Samsung has just purchased Viv, a startup in San Jose, Calif., focused on AI for
mobile. Viv will continue to operate independently. The inventors -- Dag Kittlaus, and Adam Cheyer -- are two former Apple employees and Siri co-founders.
