Wrigley Celebrates Cubs With 1908 Pricing Promo

As everyone’s recently been reminded, prior to this year, the Chicago Cubs last captured the National League pennant in 1945, and last won the World Series in 1908.

Little wonder that Wrigley — forever linked to the Cubs through the company’s 125-year Chicago heritage and iconic Wrigley Field — isn’t waiting till the last inning to jump on this opportunity.

With the Cubs and Cleveland Indians tied 1-1 going into Game 3, Wrigley is looking to drive some incremental sales, as well as win even more goodwill from Cubs fans, by offering a pack of its gum for the price it sold for in 1908: 5 cents.

The current suggested retail for a pack of the company’s Doublemint, Juicy Fruit, Spearmint, Winterfresh or Big Red gum is 35 cents. But today through Nov. 2, a 30-cent coupon that’s good through Nov. 9 can be downloaded from
