Campaigners and politicians have raised concerns over Rupert Murdoch’s latest attempt to gain full control of the satellite broadcaster Sky, saying he must face a new “fit and proper person” test and competition investigation. It emerged on Friday that Murdoch’s 21st Century Fox film and television group had made an GBP11.2bn offer to take full control of the broadcaster.
