Investopedia Improves Email Metrics With A New Platform

Investopedia, a provider of financial content, has achieved a 114% increase in page views from its email newsletters and alerts, using Sailthru’s cross-channel management platform.

The firm has also generated an 81% increase in site sessions driven by email, year-over-year. And it enjoyed its highest traffic from email during its slowest annual period.

The Sailthru platform allows Investopedia to dynamically populate content tailored to the individual, based on audience profiles, Investopedia said.

This alignment of content and data has led to month-over-month improvements in page views per session and other engagement metrics, the company continued.

There was no information provided on return on investment. But the deployment of Sailthru’s technology is one of several strategic investments that Investopedia is making in content marketing.

Sailthru CEO Neil Lustig said in a statement that “it is no easy feat to break down organizational silos and decide to start anew with data strategy, but it is the only way to close the gap between what modern businesses and modern consumers both desire.”

Investopedia, which supplies financial information to investors, has 25 million unique visitors and generates 78 million page views per month.
